How to know your skin type and choosing best oil for you
Most of you might think that off course they know what is their skin type but the ones who are new to beauty world like teenagers, they might have some doubts. It is also possible that your skin have changed over time and you need to know the symptoms that the change has occurred. It is very important to know the skin type, so you can use products according to your needs which will give you more benefits and no harm.

In this post we will discuss different type of skins and which oils are suitable for them. Why oils? because oils are the main ingredient in your skin care whether it is cleansing, moisturizing or serums. After identifying your skin type and oils to suit them, you can easily make a custom blend or serum for you

Skin type - Normal
It is an ideal skin type which is not too oily or too dry. You will not face any dry flaky patches and nor have extreme oily zone which sweat every time and cause break outs. According to weather, you can use products with slight change to add more or less hydration to your skin. It will be more smooth with less pores and even tone. You can use any light to moderate moisturizers.

Carrier oils: Jojoba, Grapeseed, Apricot
Essential oil: Lavender, Geranium, Frankincense, Bergamot

Skin type - Oily
Oily skin will produce too much oil and is sweating in moderate environment as well. Because of too much oil production, it will have large, visible pores. Do not ever think that you wont need moisturizer as in fact as your skin produce more oil the layer beneath the skin is getting dry. A good moisturizer will keep it hydrated and help it to produce less oil. You need to use water or gel based moisturizers in every season

Carrier oils: Argan, Sunflower, Evening primrose, Tamanu
Essential oils: Tea tree, Peppermint, Sandalwood, Geranium, Frankincense, Ylang ylang, Bergamot

Skin type - Dry
This skin type is always dry whether it is winter or summers. It cannot produce enough oil to keep the skin nourished, ultimately causing early wrinkle and lines. If you do not moisturize your skin, it will be stretchy, flaky and have less elasticity. You need oil based moisturizers all the time to keep your skin healthy and plump.

Carrier oils: Coconut, Olive, Pumpkin seed, Almond, Jojoba
Essential oils: Geranium, Myrrh, Frankincense, Ylang ylang, Lavender, Carrot seed

Skin type - Combination
You have combination skin if you have both dry and oily zones on your face. The T-zone is mostly oily while cheeks and eye area are dry. It is hard to find very suitable product for this skin as different areas need different thing. It is better to apply seperate product on different area according to their need.

Carrier oils: Coconut, Grapeseed, Sunflower seed, Rosehip, Jojoba
Essential oils: Geranium, Frankincense, Ylang ylang, Lavender, Carrot seed

Skin type - Sensitive
It is the most difficult skin to manage because it is fragile, most things will burn or cause inflammation. You have to choose carefully about any thing you apply and it is better to do patch test before using on whole face.

Carrier oils: Coconut, Argan, Grapeseed, Sunflower seed, Tamanu, Rosehip, Jojoba
Essential oils: Lavender, Rose, Sandalwood, Chamomile

Skin type - Mature, Aging
With aging your skin will lose elasticity and start having wrinkles, fine lines and crowfeet. It needs more hydration due to lack of moisture in skin tissues and also falls in the category of dry skin type.

Carrier oils: Argan, Grapeseed, Sunflower seed, Tamanu, Rosehip, Jojoba
Essential oils: Lavender, Rose, Sandalwood, Lemon, Carrot seed, Ylang ylang
