Home made scrubs with natural ingredients are far more beneficial then store bought chemical ones. On top of that you can makes them according to your skin type. The active ingredients are not harmful for your skin and the results are as good as the chemical ones. Even some time they work better then them. So ditch the store bought scrubs and make this honey and oats scrub.
This scrub boost the circulation and slough off any dead skin cells that leaves the complexion bright and radiant. Oats have skin soothing, softening, and cleansing properties and their mild action makes them perfect for treating dry or irritated skin. Honey has been used since ancient times as a moisturizer that also softens, lubricates, soothes, and protects the skin.
Oats: Soothing, nourishing, and softening, oats are also a gentle exfoliator.
Honey: Both nourishing and moisturizing, honey helps to tone tired skin.
Glycerin: Odorless glycerin is used for its moisturizing properties.
Orange essential oil: This has regenerative properties that can soothe dry, irritated, or acne-prone skin.
- 1 tbsp rolled oats
- 2 tbsp glycerin
- 1 tsp honey
- 4 drops orange essential oil
First grind the oats into a fine powder using a pestle and mortar or an immersion blender. Now transfer the oats to a bowl and add the remaining ingredients. Store in a sterilized jar with a tight-fitting lid in the fridge. This can be kept for up to 6 weeks.
How to use
Gently massage the scrub into clean skin, avoiding the eye area and rinse off with warm water. Pat skin dry with a clean towel.
