Homemade Ayurvedic Facial Cleansing Grains

When talking about natural remedies about health or wellness, Ayurvedic practice always come first. The ancient practices used in India to heal almost anything. Facial cleansing has been part of beauty care since those ancient times as well, specially in Asian cultures. And they have great recipes of cleansing powders or grains which are made of natural ingredients to gently clean your skin instead of rubbing it raw. Today we are sharing one ayurvedic cleansing grain recipe which not only gently remove dead skin, impurities and excessive oil from skin but will also leave it clean, plump and glowing.
- 1 cup almond meal
- 1 cup rose petal powder
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 2 teaspoons orange peel powder
- 1 cup chickpea flour
- 1 cup kaolin clay
- 1 cup brown rice flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Air tight jar
Place all ingredient in jar and close the lid tightly and shake well to mix all the ingredients with each other. Your easiest cleansing powder is ready. You can make small batch to try first and see if every ingredient is working fine on your skin. Just half the quantity of everything and mix well. Keep the jar in dry and cool place and never make put wet fingers or any other thing in the jar to protect it from any bacteria and spoiling. Always dispense out the right amount with clean dry spatula.
How to use
Dispense out the powder with clean and dry spatula in your palm. A teaspoon is enough for one wash. Now mix a little water to make paste. Apply it on your face and massage with light hands without scrubbing, for one minute. Now wash off with warm water. Do not dry and apply moisturizer on wet skin for good hydration.
